Marketing Manager

MuleSource seeks a high-energy, execution-oriented Marketing Manager to create and drive campaigns to raise brand awareness and to drive adoption of MuleSource software. The Marketing Manager owns all lead generation activities and is responsible for "feeding the beast," delivering high quality leads to the Sales team. Marketing programs might include search-engine marketing, link programs, advertising, industry events and e-mail marketing campaigns, although there is no limit to where we can go creatively. The ideal candidate will have a special talent for helping MuleSource "hit above our weight" in driving awareness, Web traffic and sales leads through innovative "guerrilla" marketing strategies.

We work closely together and put in startup hours, so you must be team player. ! The perfect candidate will thrive on conceiving marketing programs that can dramatically “move the needle”, and pulling them off through flawless execution.

Performance objectives:


  • Create and execute outbound marketing campaigns targeted at Java developer and IT operations audiences
  • Drive visitors to MuleSource web properties via search engine marketing (SEO/SEM), online advertising, and other direct marketing campaigns
  • Generate leads and awareness through IT industry events, including successful major product launches
  • Drive awareness and Web traffic through creative "guerrilla" PR, focusing on new media and social media channels
  • Work with the Sales organization to create and execute campaigns involving list generation and direct sales
  • Work with the Training organization to develop and execute regional technical seminars, events
  • Optimize spending effectiveness through ongoing ROI analysis, as well as creative vendor negotiation
  • Deliver on all targets while managing multiple ongoing projects, vendors, and other resources

Multi-platform Server Installation Consultant

MuleSource, the leading provider of open source infrastructure and integration software seeks a qualified consultant to implement and deliver a multi-platform installation package to install and configure a server-based application stack.

Installation requirements include:

  • Install and configure full Java application stack
  • Install desktop based tools and documentation
  • Install windows services/unix daemons
  • Discovery and configuration of network and security settings
  • Deployment and configuration of database schema
  • Uninstallation scripts
  • Multiple platforms, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, HP, AIX, Solaris
  • Graphical and Command Line/Silent installation

Requirements:

  • Evaluation and selection of installation technology (InstallAnywhere, Install4J)
  • Implementation of multiple installation flows
  • Integration of installation into automated build process using Maven and Bamboo
  • Automated tests for verifying installation
  • Documented requirements, task flows, and visual wireframes will be provided.

Sales: Inside Sales Representative

MuleSource, the leading provider of open source infrastructure and integration software seeks an Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. Founded by the creators of the Mule project, the world's most reliable and widely-used open source ESB and integration platform, MuleSource delivers enterprise class support and services to the hundreds of organizations that have downloaded the open source project worldwide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strong understanding of the full Sales cycle from prospecting to closure
  • Lead generation /outbound calling and lead follow up
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Conducting Sales by phone (primarily)
  • Closing deals in the $12-100K range and meeting all sales quotas
  • Territory management, including accurate and timely forecasting
  • Ability to instill confidence in a prospect and customer - articulate, credible and customer focused
  • Working well with other team members; Field Account Executives, Technical Directors and Technical Support engineers

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years software sales experience
  • Self starter with outstanding computer, analytical, oral and written skills
  • Excellent business etiquette skills
  • Must have proven track record within inside sales environment consistently meeting and exceeding goals, objectives and sales targets
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and be a team player
  • Focused, driven and goal motivated with strong follow through skills
  • Professional, confident and confidence- inspiring manner
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus
  • Knowledge of open source a plus Compensation: Base Salary, Commission plus benefits
